Congratulations you are Engaged!
Before you begin to book your suppliers you need to establish a few things

What do you want the "feel" of your wedding to be?
For example, if you want a relaxed beach wedding, this will dictate your date – you’ll want it be a summer wedding.
Your suppliers will be able to guide and help you if you know your direction.

Establish your MUST haves
Along with the feel of your wedding this can also dictate setting the date.
If you absolutely want to have Freesias in your bouquet then this will dictate that you'll need a spring date.
Or if you have to have your wedding at a certain venue, you'll be dictated to by their availability.

Establish your budget and add 10%
Establishing your budget may involve some initial research, who knows how much you'll spend on your flowers until you ask? Contact suppliers for ball park figures, if you’re not sure of what you want they will only be able to give you estimates but not quotes. Add the 10% for any unforeseen expenditure :)

Book Florist and discuss ideas - TIP Visit a florist to see what flowers are available in your month, if you go in the same month one year before they may be able to get sample flowers to show you.
Choose your dress/bridal designer - schedule in fittings and add in to timetable.
Buy Lingerie to go with your Bridal Gown - once your gown is chosen your Lingerie expert will be able to advice on the best support for your day and maybe able to work with you to try your dress and underwear on together.

Book your honeymoon
Book Music
Book your Stationer - Send out Save the Date Cards
Book Photographer
Meet with Hair & Make-up for trails and Book accordingly

6 Months before
Confirm designs and bookings with suppliers
Groom to arrange suit hire
Choose and purchase wedding rings
Choose your gift registry or hire a Wishing Well
reserve any rental equipment i.e. chairs etc
Organize dress fittings
Finalise Honeymoon, check passports are in date, visas etc
Choose Wedding Favours

3 Months before
Send out Wedding Invitations
Organise any vaccinations for your honeymoon
Write your wedding vows
Schedule rehearsal time if  necessary
Contact your Wedding Stationer about Order of Service and for samples of Table Stationery i.e. Place Cards
Organise hen & Stag Parties
Book beauty Treatments i.e. Spray Tan

2 Months before
Choose gifts for wedding party
Finalise Transport
Remind fiancé, dad and best man to write speeches

1 Month before
Chase outstanding RSVPs
Draw up final guest list
Confirm number with suppliers
Order your Table Stationery with your Wedding Stationer
Final dress fittings.
Begin to wear your wedding shoes in doors to break in a practice walking in heels if necessary!
Book travel insurance and buy currency
Speak with your photographer about “Must have” shots.

1 Week before
Confirm photographer, flowers, music and cars
Reconfirm numbers with the caterer
Arrange for cake to be delivered
Pack for your honeymoon
Hold ceremony rehearsal
Double-check your outfit is complete
Ensure best man knows when to return suits
Have a final hair and make-up practice
room to have final trim at the hairdressers
Wear in your wedding shoes
Attend any beauty appointments i.e. wax, tan
Prepare schedules for attendants

The day before
Have a manicure and pedicure
Help to decorate the venue
Send honeymoon luggage to first night hotel
Relax and get a good night's sleep
Hand out schedules to attendants

On the day
Get your attendants to do the following:
Check the best man has the rings
Check the best man has the button-holes and corsages for the groom's side
Deliver orders of service to the ceremony venue

After the big day
Pack and take home wedding presents
Return hired items to relevant stores
Send out wedding cake to those unable to attend
Contact your Wedding Stationer to organise Thank You Cards
